How credits work

The basics

• 1 credit costs 1 unit of the site currency (for example €1).
• Credits are used to even out swaps, pay the swap fee, boost listings and buy shipping labels.
• Credits never expire.
• Credits can’t be cashed out as money. You can donate them to charity, gift them to another member, or (once you’ve completed some swaps) exchange credits you’ve earned for a gift card. Gift cards carry a small service fee.

Balancing a swap

Each item has a value in credits. If your item is worth less than the one you’d like, add credits to your offer. They’re held safely (escrow) and paid to the other member when the swap completes. If the swap is declined or cancelled, they’re returned.

The swap fee

When a swap completes, each member pays a small fee. It’s held when the swap is agreed and returned if the swap is cancelled.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, open a dispute from the swap page. Credits stay held while our team reviews it.
